Holland America Line is launching new voyages to some of the most sought-after vacation regions, with nearly 30 itineraries for 2027-2028 encompassing Hawaii, Mexico, the Panama Canal, and the Pacific Coast. The new season features longer stays in Honolulu, Hawaii, and expanded exploration of the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Guests will sail aboard the Koningsdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, or Zaandam, departing between October and April from five homeports in North America, offering affordable getaways for winter holidays and sun. Each itinerary emphasizes authentic cultural connection, award-winning service, and destination-rich experiences, reflecting Holland America Line’s extensive expertise on the West Coast.

Hawaii: longer stays to better discover the islands
The 2027-2028 Hawaii sailings include extended stays in Honolulu, as well as stops at iconic natural sites such as Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, black sand beaches, lush rainforests, and the famed Frozen Land of Fire. Guests can enjoy Hawaii Up Close cultural programming—covering agriculture, local history, Native arts, and geology—along with stargazing, luaus, and authentic island-themed entertainment.
17 or 18-day Hawaii tour aboard the Koningsdam or Zaandam, with multiple departures. All itineraries include Nawiliwili (Kauai); Honolulu (Oahu); Kahului (Maui); and Kona and Hilo on the Big Island. Some itineraries include overnight stays and layovers of up to 40 hours in Honolulu, as well as a stop in Ensenada, Mexico.
Panama Canal: a front-row seat to a marvel of world engineering
Itineraries ranging from 14 to 22 days offer a privileged view of the Gatun, Pedro Miguel, and Miraflores Locks, an engineering marvel surrounded by wildlife-rich rainforests. Trips include access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, Mayan archaeological discoveries, sloth sanctuaries, volcano hikes, and coastal cultural immersion throughout Central America.
14 days – Panama Canal: aboard Zaandam, from Fort Lauderdale (Florida) to San Diego (California), departing January 16, 2028. Stops in Cartagena (Colombia); Acajutla (El Salvador); Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala); and Santa Cruz Huatulco, Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas (Mexico).
15 days – Panama Canal Holiday: aboard Zaandam, from San Diego to Miami (Florida), departing December 18, 2027. Stops in Cabo San Lucas, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta and Santa Cruz Huatulco (Mexico); Puntarenas (Costa Rica); and Cartagena.
21 days – Panama Canal: aboard Eurodam, from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale, departing October 2, 2027. Also available departing from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada) or San Diego. Stops in Santa Barbara and San Diego (California); Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puerto Chiapas and Santa Cruz Huatulco (Mexico); Puntarenas; Puerto Quetzal; and Oranjestad (Aruba).
22 days – Panama Canal: aboard Eurodam, from Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver, departing April 1, 2028. Stops in Victoria (British Columbia, Canada); Astoria (Oregon); Santa Barbara, San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Acajutla, Puerto Vallarta, Puntarenas, Puerto Quetzal and Cartagena.
Mexico: Sea of Cortez, Riviera classics and hidden gems — all in one season
Departures from Mexico offer a wide range of options, from short sun getaways to in-depth explorations of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez. Pacific Coast: scenic coastlines, wildlife encounters, and West Coast flavor
The Pacific Coast season includes 1- to 7-day voyages and brings back the guest-favorite Great Bear Rainforest itinerary, departing from and returning to Vancouver in 2028. These itineraries highlight coastal charm, wildlife viewing, British Columbia's fjord waterways, and stops in California and the Pacific Northwest, reinforcing Holland America Line's West Coast experience.
