Emerald Cruises expands its fleet of luxury yachts with Emerald Kaia and Emerald Raiya by 2028Emerald Cruises & Tours has celebrated a key milestone in the expansion of its luxury yacht fleet with two significant events. Last week, Emerald Cruises marked the launch of the Emerald Kaia and the keel-laying ceremony of the Emerald Raiya, as part of Scenic Group's strategic initiative to add three new superyachts to its fleet by 2028.

On November 10, 2025, the highly anticipated Emerald Kaia was officially launched at the Halong Bay shipyard in Vietnam, marking a crucial milestone in its development. The ceremony was attended by key figures from the Scenic Group, including Ivo Skelin, Managing Director of Design and Project Development, who played a pivotal role in bringing the yacht closer to its maiden voyage.

With its maiden voyage scheduled for April 2026, Emerald Kaia will offer a luxurious Mediterranean cruising experience. The yacht will begin by exploring the coastal wonders of Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey. It will then continue its summer season along the spectacular coastlines of Italy, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia, and the Greek Islands, even passing through the historic Corinth Canal. In winter 2026, the superyacht will move to the Red Sea before arriving in the Seychelles for the 2026–2027 winter season, offering guests an idyllic escape to one of the world's most exclusive tropical destinations.

On the same day as the launch of the Kaia, the Emerald Raiya reached a significant milestone in its construction with the keel-laying ceremony. This step marks the beginning of its journey toward its launch in June 2027. The new superyacht will begin its inaugural season in the Eastern Mediterranean, followed by a transfer to the Seychelles, where it will offer luxury cruises in a spectacular and exclusive setting.

Beyond Emerald Raiya, the company has confirmed that Emerald Xara will join the fleet in April 2028, further strengthening its offering for luxury travelers. These additions reinforce Emerald Cruises' commitment to providing unparalleled cruise experiences with a focus on adventure and pleasure.

Glen Moroney, founder and president of Scenic Group, stated: “The maiden launch of Emerald Kaia and the keel laying of Emerald Raiya represent a significant milestone for Emerald Cruises and our continued expansion. Each has been meticulously designed by our team at MKM Yachts to offer a unique luxury experience for up to 128 guests. We are responding to the growing demand for yacht-style cruising in the Mediterranean, Seychelles, and the Caribbean.”

The addition of Emerald Kaia, Emerald Raiya, and Emerald Xara to the Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet will bring the total number of luxury yachts to five by 2028. These new vessels are designed to offer an intimate yet luxurious cruising experience, accommodating up to 128 guests per yacht. With a focus on luxury and authentic adventure, these ships will feature spacious interiors, modern amenities, and carefully curated experiences for travelers seeking both relaxation and exploration.

The growing Emerald yacht fleet promises to deliver unforgettable experiences that combine sophisticated design, state-of-the-art amenities, and exceptional service.
