Global Ports Services concludes a record-breaking cruise season in 2025

Global Ports Services (GPS), the Global Ports Holding (GPH) company specializing in integrated port services, is closing its 2025 cruise season marked by significant operational milestones, geographic expansion, and increased collaboration with the world's leading cruise lines. Throughout the year, GPS solidified its role as a trusted partner, offering reliable, high-quality service solutions across multiple ports and regions.

Global Ports Services concludes a record-breaking cruise season in 2025The season began with a highlight: GPS assisted TUI Cruises' newest ship, Mein Schiff Relax, with five complete turnaround operations at the Port of Barcelona. These operations required precise coordination between cruise ship and port services teams, demonstrating GPS's ability to execute high-volume, time-critical movements with discipline and consistency.

In April, GPS strengthened its partnership with Virgin Voyages during its fourth season in Barcelona. With ships operating at full capacity, GPS managed complex turnaround operations that reflected both Virgin Voyages' rapid growth and GPS's ability to support next-generation cruise brands with scalable, passenger-centric service.

Beyond Barcelona, GPS expanded its operational presence. The company carried out its first turnaround operation at the Port of Lisbon, a significant step in extending its integrated services across the Atlantic and the Western Mediterranean. In Málaga, GPS strengthened its presence with dedicated support for Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady, managing onboard logistics, shore services, and crew movements. This milestone coincided with the opening of a dedicated GPS office in Málaga; a strategic investment designed to improve service consistency and enhance local responsiveness.

“2025 has been a year of significant progress: expanding our presence, strengthening customer relationships, and providing services that meet the ever-increasing standards of the cruise industry,” said Jordi Guillem, Director of Port Services at GPH. “We are committed to maintaining this momentum and continuing to offer integrated port services that deliver efficiency, quality, and added value at every port of call. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our GPS team, whose effort and commitment drive our success every day.”
