Celestyal has expanded its shore excursion program for the new 2025 “Iconic Arabia” itineraries, aboard its second ship to visit the region, the Celestyal Discovery.
The new excursions include experiences in Ras Al Khaimah – as the cruise line will be making its first visit to the port – plus additional options in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The 1,360-passenger Celestyal Discovery will officially launch the new three-, four-, and seven-night “Iconic Arabia” cruises on December 12, 2025, sailing round-trip from its winter homeport in Abu Dhabi. Ports of call include first-ever visits to Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), as well as Doha (Qatar); Khasab (Oman); Dubai (UAE); and Sir Bani Yas Island.
The shore excursion program offers a variety of half-day, full-day, and two-day options, in addition to the so-called "Authentic Encounters," which provide immersive experiences with the local population in small groups.
Highlights include:
- “Journey to the soul of Ras Al Khaimah”: a guided tour through the diverse landscapes of the emirate, including a scenic drive through the desert dunes, a visit to the royal camel racing stables, an Emirati date farm and a mountain village.
- “Ras Al Khaimah and the Suwaidi Pearl Farm, Authentic Encounter”: begins with a visit to the Suwaidi Pearls House of Pearls, including a traditional pearl fishing boat tour, plus visits to Dhayah Fort and the old town of Ras Al Khaimah.

- “Dubai from its Eye”: includes a panoramic tour to Zabeel Palace, the residence of the Dubai royal family, visits to the Museum of the Future, Bluewaters Island to go up Ain Dubai (the world's tallest observation wheel) and Kite Beach.
- “Delicious Dates and Succulent Pastries”: A gastronomic and cultural exploration in Abu Dhabi, including the city’s main attractions and the famous date market.
- “Yas Waterworld, Yas Island”: a full day at Abu Dhabi’s iconic water park, located on Yas Island.
Last April, Celestyal signed a three-year agreement with the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. This multi-year partnership, formalized during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, promotes Ras Al Khaimah as a key destination for Celestyal passengers, further strengthening the cruise line's ties with the Arabian Gulf region.
Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer of Celestyal, commented: “Our new 'Iconic Arabia' shore excursions offer what we call a true behind-the-scenes pass to the Arabian Gulf: they give guests privileged access to the rich tapestry of culture, history, and natural beauty that defines the region. From Dubai’s futuristic skyline to the serene shores of Sir Bani Yas Island and the treasures of Ras Al Khaimah, each experience, guided by our incredible team of experts, connects travelers to the authentic spirit of the destination.”
