Building on Lindblad Expeditions' pioneering legacy and National Geographic's renowned expertise, the alliance continues to offer extraordinary journeys led by expedition leaders, naturalists, historians, scientists, photographers, and National Geographic experts, who bring the wonders of the planet to life.
The 2027–2028 season introduces a collection of new itineraries and returning routes, including the chance to witness the natural phenomenon of the solar eclipse and an extended season in the High Arctic, creating more opportunities for travelers to discover outstanding destinations on all seven continents and reach the most remote corners of the Earth.

Highlights of the 2027–2028 season
◉ Total Solar Eclipse of August 2027 – Special Trip from the Azores to Barcelona.
A new voyage dedicated to astrotourism and natural phenomena, offering travelers the opportunity to observe the solar eclipse in its totality phase from the Strait of Gibraltar. This exclusive experience will allow participants to witness the phenomenon from the sea, accompanied by naturalists and a National Geographic photographer.
◉ Expanded Arctic and High Arctic Exploration:
New opportunities to explore the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard in spring and summer. Itineraries such as “Baffin Island: Exploring Canada’s Wild Arctic Frontier” and the return of “Fabled Lands of the North: Greenland to Newfoundland” (last run in 2024) will allow you to observe polar bears in their natural habitat and snow and ice landscapes bathed in perfect light.
◉ New ways to (re)discover Europe.
With itineraries aboard the National Geographic Orion, such as “Continental Crossroads: Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands” and “Spain, Portugal and Morocco: Atlantic Horizons,” as well as “Porto, Bordeaux and Bergen: Wonders of Western Europe” on the National Geographic Endurance, travelers can explore both iconic destinations and hidden gems along Europe’s coastlines.
The elegant three-masted sailing ship Sea Cloud II will sail to Malta, Sicily, and Greece on the “Under Sail Aboard Sea Cloud II” itinerary, offering an unforgettable voyage across the sparkling waters of the Ionian Sea.
◉ Return from two favorite 17-day journeys.
Among them, “Exploring Patagonia’s National Parks from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt,” where expedition members will explore mountainous islands, forests, glaciers, and nature reserves; and “Fiji and Tahiti Adventure: Vibrant Reefs and Cultural History,” a South Pacific expedition that combines pristine nature and fascinating cultures.
