Marella Cruises is introducing exciting additions to its 2027 summer program, including a return to Albania with a first-ever visit to Sarandë. While Marella has sailed to Albania before, this will be its first call at this port. Guests aboard the Marella Discovery 2 will now be able to explore this stunning coastal city, along with the newly added port of Syracuse, Italy.
Meanwhile, the adults-only Marella Explorer 2 will return to popular destinations such as Mahon, Menorca, and Castellón, Spain. All summer cruises will be available to book starting October 16, 2025.
New ports of call in Albania and Italy will be included in the Marella Discovery 2 season, within the Ionian Shores, departing from Dubrovnik, Croatia. This will be the first time Marella Cruises has sailed to the Balkan country of Albania, offering guests the opportunity to discover the Albanian Riviera.
The Marella Discovery 2 will be adults-only this season, making its debut summer in Dubrovnik with itineraries such as Greek Mystique, which explores the gems of the Greek islands, and Sail Three Seas, which sails the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Adriatic Seas. These cruises will begin on May 6, 2027.
Meanwhile, the Marella Explorer 2 will be based in Málaga, Spain, for the first time in nearly a decade. Its itineraries include Spirit of Spain, marking a return to the popular port of Mahón, Menorca, and Spanish Sights, which again includes a stop in Castellón, Spain. These sailings will begin on May 12, 2027.
The rest of the fleet will be based in various European cities: the Marella Discovery and the Marella Voyager will operate from Palma de Mallorca, while the Marella Explorer will operate from Corfu.
Marella Cruises has also expanded its Cruise & Stay, providing more hotel options in various destinations. Twenty-nine new hotels have been added in Mallorca, Croatia, Corfu, and Spain, bringing the total to 121 for Cruise & Stay, with operations departing from 21 airports in the UK and Ireland.
