V.Ships Leisure has been awarded a ship management contract by Marella Cruises, the ocean cruise line of TUI UK&I.
The five-year agreement will cover the technical, crew, digital, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management of Marella's five cruise ships, with operations commencing towards the end of 2025. The first two ships will be under management before the end of the year, and the remaining three will be incorporated during the first half of 2026.
As part of this new partnership, V.Ships Leisure will strengthen its presence in the UK by establishing a dedicated cell exclusively for the Marella Cruises fleet, operating from its Southampton office with the support of V.'s global network. This decision reflects V.'s commitment to providing local expertise reinforced by its global scale, reach, and experience.
V. will use its ShipSure platform to enable data-driven decision-making on fleet maintenance and operations, supporting more efficient and proactive management, and providing Marella Cruises with greater operational transparency.
Marella Cruises will benefit from both V.'s comprehensive management services and V.ERDE, its program dedicated to decarbonization and environmental compliance.
