Thanksgiving Day aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin will be filled with art and culture, as Paul Gauguin Cruises welcomes four special guests on its 10-night cruise through the Tuamotu and Society Islands. This sailing will be a particularly special occasion, coinciding with the first year the cruise line has offered an overnight stay in Fakarava, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

These distinguished guests complement The Gauguin's already robust cultural program, led by the troupe of Tahitian hosts known as Les Gauguines (ladies) and Les Gauguins (gentlemen), who make the ship their home.
Dr. Windh will share her knowledge through educational presentations on geology, archaeology, celestial navigation and traditional orientation techniques, as well as her experience in the culture of French Polynesia.
For his part, Tahiarii Pariente, raised between Tahiti and France, will contribute his experience in managing cultural tours, restoring ancient artifacts, and more.
As for musical entertainment, guests will enjoy performances by Gleusteen and Ordronnaeu, who have given more than 100 violin and piano recitals in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
To commemorate the holiday, The Gauguin will be decorated with festive motifs in the reception area. In addition, a special Thanksgiving menu will be served, including whole roasted turkey, traditional stuffing, and pumpkin pie, along with other seasonal dishes.
In addition to two nights in Fakarava — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that is home to some of the best-preserved coral reefs in the world — the trip highlights include two days in Bora Bora; a stop in Raiatea, considered the spiritual center of the region for its temples and archaeological sites; and a visit to Rangiroa, where guests can tour a black pearl farm and the only winery in French Polynesia.
