Norwegian Cruise Line presents new details about its private island Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, which will include the major new addition of the Great Tides water park, to be inaugurated in the summer of 2026, along with other experiences that will provide unforgettable adventures and total relaxation for its guests.
The Great Tides Waterpark will feature: 19 water slides; a 250-meter-long dynamic lazy river with a fast-moving current, a bioluminescent tunnel, and access from multiple entrances, including an entrance pool with a swim-up bar; an 840-square-meter children's water play area with eight mini slides, a massive tipping bucket over 12 meters high, and multiple interactive attractions; Cliffside Cove, the first area in the cruise industry with two cliff-diving platforms (3 and 4.5 meters high); the Caribbean's only family slide, where up to four people can slide together; the 52-meter-high Tidal Tower, with eight towering slides, some with conveyor belts to bring up floats; and the Grotto Bar, a bar tucked away in a cave beneath the family slide, perfect for relaxing and watching the fun unfold.

- Great Life Lagoon: new 5,600 m² pool area with heated pool, swim-up bars, sun loungers, cabanas with sea or pool views, children's areas and live music.
- Jet Karts: a water racing circuit that mixes go-kart and jet ski.
- Splash Harbor: Free water play area near the heated pool for the little ones.
- Horizon Park: new recreational space with garden-style games, pickleball courts, 9-hole mini-golf and a half sports court.
- Hammock Bay: over 50 hammocks next to a bar and close to the guests' favorite BBQ buffet.
- Vibe Shore Club: an exclusive adults-only area with hanging beds, a private bar, and premium villas (requires a day pass).
With the island's renovation and growing demand, NCL expects to welcome one million guests to Great Stirrup Cay by 2026, operating with 15 different ships, including the new Norwegian Aqua™ and Norwegian Luna. These will offer Caribbean itineraries from Miami and Orlando through October 2027.
