Riviera Travel has announced the launch of Riviera Explorer, a new digital learning platform designed to support travel agents in selling the company's European river cruises. Riviera Explorer offers a flexible, engaging, and time-efficient training experience to help agents increase their knowledge and confidence in selling Riviera river cruises.
“Travel agents play a vital role in our industry, and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to grow and improve their businesses,” said Stuart Milan, President of Riviera Travel North America. “Riviera Explorer is an accessible, efficient, and impactful platform designed to enhance advisors’ knowledge and sales skills. Our goal is to empower as many advisors as possible to confidently sell Riviera products.”
The training center currently features six modules, including an overview of Europe's major rivers, designed to help agents match clients with the right itinerary. It also includes in-depth lessons on the Riviera fleet, options for solo travelers, group trips, grand tours, and the brand's hotel, flight, and transportation capabilities. Each module begins with a video, followed by highlights, key facts, and a series of quizzes to reinforce learning.
Riviera Explorer includes three levels: Freshman , Senior , and Graduate . As agents progress through the modules, they enhance their knowledge and skills. Upon completion of the entire program, they earn the Riviera Graduate title and a certificate. Advisors can become Riviera Graduates in as little as four to five hours. The platform is designed to be accessible and flexible, allowing users to complete the program in a single day or at their own pace.
The digital platform also includes resources specifically for agents, with everything they need to sell, promote, and understand Riviera Travel's offerings. These materials include brochures, window displays, social media post templates, training videos, and more.
To celebrate the launch of Riviera Explorer, Riviera Travel will offer 20 FAM places to agents who complete all modules before September 30, 2025.
Riviera Explorer will continue to expand its modules, seasonal campaigns and the latest brand innovations, thus keeping travel advisors informed and engaged.
