Next winter, Windstar Cruises will light up the Mediterranean with the debut of its newest yacht, Star Explorer, and the return of its winter sailings around Europe. Scheduled to launch on December 28, 2026, this 224-passenger vessel is the latest addition to Windstar’s Star Class fleet and marks a stylish new chapter in the company’s year-round European offerings—this time with more immersive cultural experiences, off-season benefits, and hidden ports to discover, without the summer crowds.
Designed for exploration, the Star Explorer is perfectly suited for discovering small ports and big stories. Its inaugural season includes extended stays and access to local festivals that shine even brighter in the off-season: from illuminated Christmas markets to colorful Carnival celebrations in Venice.
Guests will enjoy overnight stays in Florence (Livorno), Barcelona, and Nice, as well as less frequented ports such as Genoa, Catania, and Málaga. Seasonal highlights include the Venice Carnival, Epiphany in Greece, and inviting winter markets bathed in Mediterranean sunshine.

Windstar Cruises invites travelers to take advantage of a generous Early Bird Offer available through July 31, 2025. Those who book now will receive a complimentary All-Inclusive package, including Wi-Fi, unlimited wine, beer, and select cocktails, and gratuities. In addition, guests will receive one onboard credit per stateroom, redeemable for select shore excursions, treatments at the World Spa by Windstar, and other onboard amenities.
For added value, Windstar also offers its "Pay Now, Save More" promotion: those who pay in full at the time of booking will receive an additional 5% discount on the cruise fare. This promotion is only available for bookings made with the Early Bird Offer.
