Elomatic, an international consulting and engineering firm, signs a major supply contract with Carnival Corporation & plc for the installation of its innovative Elogrid™ side-propulsion technology across Carnival's entire fleet of XL-class ships, which includes nine existing ships and two new builds.
The installation program will begin in the fall of 2025 and will extend until 2028, in line with the scheduled dry-docking dates for the ships.
This contract represents a significant milestone in the deployment of Elomatic's Elomatic Elogrid technology. In both new builds and retrofits, Elomatic delivers measurable benefits in key performance areas, including reduced fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, it improves vessel maneuverability compared to traditional gratings, leading to safer and more efficient operations.
