Carnival Corporation's new Miami headquarters

Carnival Corporation has acquired a property in Miami's Waterford business district, just south of Miami International Airport, where it will locate its new global headquarters. The company stated that this acquisition reinforces its long-standing commitment to South Florida and Miami-Dade County, a region that has been its home for more than 50 years.

Carnival Corporation's new Miami headquartersCarnival Corporation plans to build a next-generation campus, consisting of several buildings, initially designed to house more than 2,000 employees.

Once completed in 2028, this new operations center will become the company's main headquarters in North America and, for the first time, will unify in one location most of its land-based staff from the continent, including teams from Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard and Costa Cruises.

In addition to the staff already working in the current Miami-Dade County offices, this move will bring together employees who were previously spread across different locations, creating hundreds of new, well-paying jobs for the area.

“Bringing our North American land-based team together on a shared campus—designed from the ground up to support how we work and what we do—will foster greater knowledge sharing, innovation, efficiency, and professional growth,” said Josh Weinstein, CEO of Carnival Corporation.

The campus will initially feature between 55,000 and 65,000 square meters of workspace, encompassing both the headquarters building and a training and testing center for in-flight entertainment. The buildings will be designed with versatile workspaces: open collaboration areas, individual workspaces, multiple meeting rooms, and a flexible technology infrastructure designed to adapt to new technologies and emerging ways of working.

“As the world’s largest cruise company, there’s no better place to be headquartered than Miami, the cruise capital of the world. Furthermore, with decades of history here, this move allows us to continue building on that success to grow our global operations and deepen our ties with the community,” Weinstein added

“Carnival’s investment in a new Miami location is a victory for Florida, achieved through partnerships with organizations like the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, reinforcing the state’s leadership in the global cruise industry.”

For her part, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava celebrated the decision: “This important step reinforces their decades-long commitment to our community and their role as one of the largest private-sector employers. It sends a clear message: Miami-Dade is a global hub for business, world-class talent, and strategic growth.”

Rodrick T. Miller, president and CEO of the Beacon Council, added: “Carnival Corporation’s expansion is a strategic investment in Miami’s future. Our region offers more than a favorable economy: it’s a dynamic ecosystem where innovation, opportunity, and quality of life converge.”
