CroisiEurope launches a new river cruise that will take passengers to discover some of the most magical Christmas markets along the canals of Belgium.
The cruise takes place aboard the MS Raymonde, a small boat with a capacity of only 20 passengers. Its size allows it to sail to exclusive locations, and the entire boat can be booked for groups. This option is designed for families, groups of friends, or companies seeking a personalized, peaceful, and safe experience in a private setting with dedicated service. The cruise features only 10 outside cabins with private bathrooms, a restaurant, a bar/lounge, a sundeck, and a relaxation area with a jacuzzi. With a crew of six, including a renowned chef who prepares a variety of delicious dishes and a guide who accompanies passengers on all excursions, guests can enjoy truly personalized service throughout the voyage.
The four-day itinerary, which sails along the Ghent-Bruges canal, will debut in December 2025 and connects Bruges and Ghent, including visits to the charming Christmas markets of both cities.
Bruges has two Christmas markets: a large one in the Grote Markt, the historic and social heart of the city, known for its traditional wooden stalls, ice rink, and festive decorations; and the second market is a smaller, more intimate one near Simon Stevinplein, which places more emphasis on local crafts.
Ghent's Christmas market stretches from Sint-Baafsplein along the Botermarkt and Klein Turkije to the end of the Korenmarkt. Known as "Winter in Ghent" or "Gentse Winterfeesten," it features over 150 wooden stalls where you can buy handcrafted goods, Christmas decorations, and unique gifts, as well as typical seasonal food and drink such as Belgian waffles, mulled wine, delicious roasted chestnuts, and Christmas beer.
The cruise also includes a guided tour of Bruges and a tasting of traditional Flemish beer at the Bourgogne des Flandres brewery, as well as a tour of Ghent with a tasting of local specialties. During the cruise, passengers can also enjoy Christmas treats on board, such as hot chocolate, Christmas cookies (bredeles), and Belgian waffles.
The ship will operate this new Bruges to Ghent voyage on December 6 and 14, 2025, and from Ghent to Bruges on December 2 and 10, 2025. Prices include all meals and drinks on board, excursions, and port taxes.
