Six world-renowned experts, including a former Prime Minister of Greenland, will share their knowledge with Swan Hellenic guests on board and on expeditions, as well as deliver specialist lectures during this year's Arctic explorations by the pioneering cultural expedition cruise company.
Prestigious speakers and expert guides will accompany their 2025 Arctic Cultural Expedition Cruises. At the same time, the company confirmed that bookings are now open for the 40 Arctic voyages of the 2025-2026 season, with six carefully designed itineraries aboard their 5-star polar-class boutique ships, SH Vega and SH Diana.
The four main itineraries include:
- Exploring Svalbard 2025-26, a 7-night trip from/to Longyearbyen, Norway, the world's northernmost settlement.
- Iceland to Greenland Cruise 2025, 10 nights from/to Reykjavik, Iceland.
- Arctic Edge Cruise 2025-26, 10 nights from/to Tromsø, Norway.
- Iceland to Greenland Cruise 2025, 10 nights sailing from Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq.
These are complemented by two longer journeys with exceptional opportunities to experience the breathtaking Northern Lights from remote locations in the Arctic and at sea:

Experts who will accompany the journeys in 2025
To make these voyages unforgettable experiences, guests will be accompanied by renowned specialists who will give lectures, lead expeditions, and participate in onboard social life. The experts announced for 2025 are:
🔹 Uli Reyer (June 20 and 27) – Biologist and former professor at the University of Zurich, expert in animal behavior and alpine birds. He will give talks in German and English about polar life.
🔹 Urs H. Fischer (June 22, July 1 and 11) – Glaciologist with decades of study on the dynamics of glaciers in the Arctic, Himalayas and Alps.
🔹 Aleqa Hammond (July 31) – The first woman to be Prime Minister of Greenland, she is a passionate advocate for Arctic culture, politics and the environment.
🔹 Arielle Montgomery (August 10 and 20) – Stanford engineer and photographer known as Icebergchick, dedicated to capturing the beauty of the Arctic and raising awareness about climate change.
🔹 Antony Jinman (August 30) – British polar explorer and one of the few to have skied to both poles. He shares his adventures to educate about conservation and exploration.
🔹 Gabrielle Slowey (August 30 and September 15) – Political scientist and expert on indigenous governance, natural resources and Arctic policy.
