Less than five months before the inauguration of MSC Cruises ' new flagship , MSC World America , the cruise company has shared the latest details about the ship's construction.
MSC World America represents a significant evolution for MSC Cruises' successful World Class prototype, ushering in a new world of cruising with redesigned spaces and concepts to offer passengers the ultimate Caribbean experience. This ship will combine MSC Cruises' signature elegant European design with North American comfort, appealing to travelers seeking new adventures.
The new flagship will also be the first to feature seven districts on board, each with its own atmosphere, facilities and experiences, designed to enhance the onboard experience, allowing each passenger to create a unique vacation and maximize their time on board.
MSC World America will be inaugurated in a brilliant ceremony taking place in Miami on April 9, 2025, and with less than five months to go before its inauguration, MSC Cruises is offering its fans the opportunity to see the ship come to life in new photos.
Bernhard Stacher, Senior Vice President of Onboard Hospitality Operations, commented: “We have invested heavily in adapting MSC World America to offer a truly memorable cruise experience, with new restaurants, bars, experiences, and spaces. With the only Eataly restaurant at sea, a brand-new Greek restaurant, Paxos, and MSC Cruises’ first comedy club, 'The Loft,' there really is a space and an experience for every passenger.”
William Monts de Oca Rivera, Chief Passenger Experience Innovation Officer, added: “One of the biggest innovations on MSC World America is The Harbour, part of the Family Aventura district, a revolutionary new outdoor space specially designed for children and families to gather, play, and relax together. It’s home to Cliffhanger – a state-of-the-art swing 50 meters above the sea that will bring a whole new dimension to the cruise experience.”
The new flagship is being built at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyards in Saint-Nazaire, France, and is currently in its outfitting phase, where all interiors, public spaces and facilities are being installed.
