Disney Cruise Line will honor Disney employees from around the world as godparents of the new Disney Treasure cruise ship.
Disney Cruise Line bestows the honorary role of "godparent" of its newest ship, the Disney Treasure, upon the cast, crew, designers, and employees of The Walt Disney Company around the world.
This statement is a heartfelt tribute to the more than 200,000 dreamers and creators who make every Disney experience of entertainment, vacations, and home entertainment possible. Disney Cruise Line is proud to bestow this recognition upon the magic-makers around the world who have created meaningful, lifelong Disney memories for generations of families.
“At the heart of everything we do at Disney are the dedicated characters and employees who create the magic that brings joy to millions of people around the world,” said Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company. “That’s why we’re proud to honor all Disney employees as godparents of the Disney Treasure. It’s our way of paying tribute to them.”
“Every magical guest experience is the result of the collective effort of tens of thousands of Disney performers, crew members, designers, and employees,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences. “Thanks to this extraordinary team, Disney’s creativity, storytelling, and service continue to set the standard in the entertainment and hospitality industries around the world.”
Inspired by the theme of adventure, the Disney Treasure will feature new and iconic Disney Cruise Line experiences, infused with captivating stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and the Disney Parks. These include an original Broadway-style Moana show; immersive dining experiences inspired by Pixar's Coco and Marvel Super Heroes; a spectacular Mickey Mouse-themed water attraction; signature fireworks at sea; imaginative kids' clubs for all ages; and new lounges inspired by beloved Disney Parks attractions like Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
