Tauck will add two new ships to the company's river cruise fleet in 2026. The two ships, which have not yet been christened, will set sail in the spring of 2026 after being built next year in Serbia and the Netherlands.
The two new vessels include a 135-meter ship that will sail Tauck's Rhône itineraries. Accommodating up to 130 guests in 68 cabins, the 135-meter ship will feature 22 spacious 90-square-meter suites on the upper deck, 34 large 68-square-meter cabins primarily on the middle deck, and 12 Category 1 cabins of 55 square meters on the lower deck.
A slightly smaller sister ship (125 meters) will accommodate up to 124 guests along the Seine River, with accommodations including twenty 90-square-meter suites on its Diamond Deck, thirty 68-square-meter cabins, and twelve 55-square-foot Category 1 cabins on the Emerald Deck. At 55 square meters, the Category 1 cabins on the two new ships will be 20% larger than the Category 1 cabins on Tauck's other riverboats. In keeping with Tauck's tradition of welcoming solo travelers, all Category 1 cabins on the new ships will have a complimentary single supplement on every sailing.

"With our two new riverboats, we will continue to prioritize the comfort of our guests and the quality of their onboard experience, rather than following the industry norm of maximizing revenue by maximizing passenger capacity," said Mahar, CEO of Tauck.
As an example, Mahar explained that Tauck's 135-meter riverboats only accommodate 130 guests, with more spacious cabins and the common areas on each boat offering a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere, thus fostering the camaraderie and sense of community that characterize Tauck river cruises.
Mahar added that, as with Tauck's other riverboats, the two new ships will sail with a dedicated Tauck Cruise Director and up to three Tauck Cruise Director guides to provide the highest levels of service, and the itineraries offered on the new ships will be fully inclusive. The price of each Tauck river cruise includes all shore excursions, all gratuities, all onboard beverages (including wine, beer, and spirits), arrival and departure airport transfers, all taxes and fees, and much more. Tauck has opened sales for its 2026 river cruises.
