As part of Celestyal 's commitment to the local communities of the ports where it docks and destinations it visits, the cruise company has announced its support for two charity events this year: the “Celestyal Blood Bank 2024” and the “16th Greece Race for the Cure”.
“Celestyal Blood Bank 2024” is Celestyal’s 2024 blood donation campaign, in partnership with Metaxa Hospital in Piraeus, which is part of a larger program including this year’s blood donation campaign that took place on board the Celestyal Journey on September 21, 2024
This program, established in 2016, is supported by its head office employees and onboard crew members twice a year to assist with medical emergencies and urgent blood needs in the local healthcare system. The company also welcomes volunteers from outside the company, including local residents and passengers, to participate in the blood donation program by visiting one of the public hospitals and donating to the Celestyal Blood Bank account.
In addition to its blood donation efforts, Celestyal is proudly participating in the 16th Greece Race for the Cure, taking place on September 28th and 29th at the Zappeion in central Athens. This annual event, dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, promotes prevention, celebrates life, and raises funds to support programs that help women battling cancer.
Celestyal is delighted to award the first-place finisher with a gift voucher for an unforgettable 4-night cruise for two on the Celestyal Discovery, with the 'Iconic Aegean' itinerary during the summer season. The head office team joins the race alongside their international colleagues participating in parallel races around the world to raise funds for this charity.
