BC Group has appointed Thomas Martin Area Manager based at the company's offices in Gran Canaria.
In his new role, Thomas will oversee the day-to-day operations of the BC Group and focus on business development opportunities in the Canary Islands. He will report to Mark Robinson, Managing Director of the BC Group, which is part of the Tourism Division of the Alsa Group.
Thomas has over 25 years of experience in DMC, hotel and recruitment and was Regional Director of DMC Meeting Point (part of the FTI Group) in the Canary Islands from 2017 to 2022 and most recently Regional Director of Meeting Point in Mexico where he was responsible for the opening of new DMC offices, recruitment and operations.
Thomas was born in the Czech Republic and is multilingual in Czech, German (both are his native languages), as well as Spanish, English, and French.
“As we continue to grow, seek new opportunities, and expand our operations to new destinations and countries, Martin, with his extensive experience and knowledge of the DMC and tour operator business in the Canary Islands, will be a key asset in helping BC Group drive continued growth in the Canary Islands. He will assist me in developing our future growth strategy and ensure we consolidate our position as a leading cruise management company in Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. He will also work closely with our colleagues at the Alsa Group to oversee the development of the cruise industry in the various ports. I am delighted that Thomas has joined the group,” Robinson stated.
