Havila Voyages' revenue in the second quarter of 2024 reached NOK 369 million, compared to NOK 172 million in the same period of the previous year. In the first half of 2024, revenue reached NOK 662 million, compared to NOK 289 million in the previous year. This growth is attributed to both higher occupancy rates and increased average revenue per cabin. Occupancy rates and average revenue per cabin also increased in the first half of the year compared to the previous year.

“Of course, it’s positive to see increased revenue and higher occupancy. This shows that we have a product that is gaining more recognition and that we have been able to offer a good experience to those who have traveled with us. We are experiencing a very positive reception from both coastal communities and our passengers,” says Bent Martini, CEO of Havila Voyages.

"This gives us confidence in increased sales and occupancy for next year, especially since the prices we operated with this year were influenced by ticket sales from previous years and new bookings at the same price due to cancellations related to the delayed delivery of our last two ships."

“It is very gratifying to present a positive operating result. It is important for the company and its owners that we have reached this point after a difficult start in Havila Voyages’ history,” says Martini.

"We have seen strong growth in direct digital sales through our own channels. We expect that our modern, more environmentally friendly coastal vessels, along with a continuously strengthened brand, will contribute to increased demand in the future."

In the second quarter, Havila Voyages' fleet had an operational uptime of 94%. Compared to the 2017 baseline figures for the coastal route, the company reduced its CO2 emissions by 36%, and onboard dining produced 70 grams of food waste per passenger cruise night.

Havila Voyages presents its results for the second quarter of 2024“The requirement in the agreement with the Ministry of Transport is a 25% reduction in CO2 compared to 2017, and we are proud to have exceeded that requirement. Our goal is to continue reducing our environmental footprint, and we have demonstrated that it is possible to take action that benefits the climate and the environment today, not just in the future,” Martini concludes.
