Passengers traveling in MSC Yacht Club aboard the MSC Cruises will be able to book a selection of exclusive shore excursions.
MSC Yacht Club is MSC Cruises' "yacht within a ship" concept, offering privacy and exclusivity, with suites located in an area of the ship that is accessed with an access card.
Offering its passengers added luxury in a relaxed and elegant environment, this private area features dedicated facilities, including its own terrace and pool, restaurant and lounge, as well as 24-hour butler and concierge service.
Available on many MSC Cruises ships, the MSC Yacht Club offers its passengers a secluded retreat while still allowing them to enjoy the facilities and entertainment options available on the rest of the ship.
The company has introduced more than 90 shore excursions designed for MSC Yacht Club passengers in various ports in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Northern Europe. These will be extended to other parts of the world later this year.
From the Top Sail Lounge at MSC Yacht Club, passengers will have priority disembarkation and will then be transferred by private transport for added comfort.
Passengers can enjoy a wide variety of experiences, such as creating their own cologne in a historic perfumery in the south of France, savoring authentic Greek cuisine aboard a catamaran in Santorini, or relaxing in a secluded cabin in Jamaica.
These experiences are categorized to suit all tastes, ranging from authentic culinary experiences to learning about local art, visits to architectural treasures, and high-level adventure activities.
Marialuisa Iaccarino, Head of Shore Excursions at MSC Cruises, stated: “This new offering arose from customer requests and the desire for a more exclusive experience for MSC Yacht Club members. Guests will benefit from a comprehensive experience, from onboard butler service to disembarking for the excursion and the expert local guides who will be waiting for them. They will also have the opportunity to relax and fully immerse themselves in the culture, cuisine, and traditions of each destination.”
MSC Yacht Club passengers can now book excursions in advance, online, through the MSC Cruises booking center or through the travel agency with which they make the booking, or on board through the MSC For Me app (where available), the MSC Yacht Club concierge service or the Shore Excursions desk.
Among the more than 90 new shore excursions, the following stand out:
- Cannes, France
Passengers can create their own cologne at a historic perfume factory in Grasse, an hour from Cannes. Guided by a professional perfumer, they will take home a personalized 100ml bottle of their creation.
- Genoa, Italy
In Santa Margherita Ligure, passengers will learn to make pesto in an exclusive cooking class, followed by a gastronomic experience featuring local cuisine and wine. Afterward, they can explore Portofino and its charms.
- Akureyri, Iceland
Passengers will enjoy the Fontana thermal baths on Lake Laugarvatn and sample freshly baked rye bread at the geothermal bakery. The excursion also includes a visit to Þingvellir National Park.
- Invergordon, Scotland
The tour includes a visit to the Glenmorangie Distillery, where passengers will learn about distillation and sample two whiskies. Afterwards, they will explore Royal Dornoch and its historic cathedral.
- Cozumel, Mexico
Passengers will sail on an exclusive catamaran and snorkel at Colombia Reef, known for its rich marine life, including turtles and rays.
- Falmouth, Jamaica
Guests will enjoy a private cabin near the Martha Brae River with a personal butler, access to a pool, and a riverside bar and grill.
