The new Disney Adventure ship will offer seven distinct themed areas, Disney Cruise Line has announced.
The ship bound for Asia will introduce a new design that aims to transform it "both a journey and a destination."
The new themed areas were created to bring to life the fundamental pillars of Disney storytelling, the cruise company added, and include:
Disney Imagination Garden
The Disney Imagination Garden will be the emotional heart of the Disney Adventure and will offer a garden and an outdoor stage.
The space is inspired by 100 years of Disney adventures and will feature themes such as Moana on the high seas and Mowgli in the jungle.
Disney Discovery Reef
Inspired by the aquatic characters and nautical stories of Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, Disney Discovery Reef will offer shops and dining options.
Among the animated films that have served as inspiration for the venue are "The Little Mermaid", "Lilo & Stitch", "Finding Nemo" and "Luca".
San Fransokyo Street
Inspired by the world of “Big Hero 6” from Walt Disney Animation Studios, San Fransokyo Street will be a family entertainment zone.
According to Disney, the space will have the energy and atmosphere of a flea market. The venue will offer a wide variety of games and interactive activities, shops, and cinemas, among other things.
Wayfinder Bay
Wayfinder Bay was designed as an open-air oasis where relaxation and entertainment await, Disney Cruise Line said.
The informal yet sophisticated poolside retreat will reflect the Pacific Islands-inspired theme of Disney Animation's "Moana," the company added.
Town Square
Town Square will celebrate Disney's live-action characters. The company describes this area as "a magical land dedicated to those who make a wish upon a star in the hope that their dreams will come true."
With shops, lounges, cafes, restaurants and entertainment spaces, the area will feature nods to animated films such as "Tangled", "Cinderella", "Frozen", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "The Princess and the Frog" and more.
Marvel Landing
Marvel Landing will serve as a celebration of Marvel's iconic characters. According to the company, the park will offer entirely new attractions and experiences.
Aimed at all ages, the entertainment will be inspired by Marvel's favorite superheroes.
Toy Story Place
According to Disney, Toy Story Place was designed to inspire visitors to “explore, create, connect and have fun” in an interactive space.
With themed food outlets and water play areas, the space is inspired by Pixar's "Toy Story" movies and shorts.
The Disney Adventure, which will mark Disney Cruise Line's debut in Southeast Asia, will enter service in 2025.
Originally ordered for Genting Hong Kong, the 208,000-ton vessel is currently being built at the MV Werften shipyards in Germany.
The Disney Adventure will sail from Singapore year-round and will offer three- and four-night cruises to destinations yet to be revealed.
