Hapag-Lloyd Cruises CEO Julian Pfitzner leaves the company and Isolde Susset is appointed CEO .
Pfitzner took over as Chief Operating Officer of Hapag-Lloyd in December 2020. Previously, he was responsible for strategic and product marketing for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Club, and product management for Europe 2 for more than 10 years.
Isolde Susset, for her part, has shaped the expedition segment at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises for more than 20 years.

In the coming weeks, management of the line's five luxury and expedition ships will be transferred from Pfitzner to Susset. The tourism specialist is now gradually assuming responsibility for Hapag-Lloyd's two luxury ships, Europa and Europa 2.
Isolde Susset began her career at sea, holding various positions for several years. She has been part of the product management team for the line in Hamburg since 1997 and took over as head of tourism in 2013.
Other milestones in his career include the commissioning of the new expedition vessels Hanseatic Nature, Hanseatic Inspiration, and Hanseatic Spirit, seeing their progress from inception to completion and naming.
