Princess Cruises will celebrate the 2024 European Football Championship on board its ships

The 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship will come to life aboard Princess ships sailing around Europe from June 14 to July 14 with parties on four ships: Sun Princess, Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess.

The matches will be shown on the giant 69,000-watt TV screen located next to the 300 m2 swimming pool, and in other covered locations in case of inclement weather.

Special meals and drinks will also be offered during the games, from themed pizza and specialty cocktails to plates of nachos and buckets of beer.

For younger football fans, Princess Cruises' mascot, Stanley the Bear, will make special appearances, while Princess' youth staff will offer football-themed face painting.

The UEFA Euro-themed entertainment will include poolside sports challenges with prizes to be won by football-based trivia questions and a specially curated pre-match playlist.

During the UEFA European Championship in July, the Sky Princess will also host two high-profile football celebrities as part of Princess's guest speakers program.

Peter Beardsley, the English football manager and former player who represented his country 59 times between 1986 and 1996, participating in two FIFA World Cups and the 1988 UEFA European Championship, will be on board the Sky Princess from July 9 to 13, during a 14-night voyage to Iceland and Norway, sailing round trip from Southampton, departing on June 29, 2024.

English football manager and former player Terry Butcher will be on board the Sky Princess during the Euro 2020 final, on a 7-night cruise through the Norwegian fjords, departing from Southampton on July 13, 2024.

Butcher captained the England national team during his career as a defender, earning 77 caps in a 10-year international career that included three FIFA World Cups.
