The SH Diana recently celebrated its first year sailing for the Swan Hellenic.
Built by the Helsinki shipyard in Finland, the expedition vessel was delivered to the company on March 31, 2023.
After sailing to Italy, the SH Diana began its inaugural season in Palermo in mid-April. Christened “Mysteries of Carthage and the Moors,” the ship’s maiden voyage lasted ten days and visited various destinations in North Africa, Spain, and Portugal.
The ship, with a capacity for 192 passengers, then offered a repositioning cruise to the Netherlands before being christened in Amsterdam in early May.
During the inaugural ceremony, Valerie Ann Wilson, founder and CEO of Valerie Wilson Travel, christened the SH Diana along with representatives from the cruise line's senior management and VIP guests.
The 12,100-ton vessel then offered cruises through the Scandinavian fjords before heading to the Arctic for a summer program sailing to destinations in Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland and more.
The SH Diana, currently sailing in the Caribbean after an inaugural winter program in Antarctica, is scheduled to return to the Arctic in the summer.
