The Queen Anne has been officially incorporated into the Cunard in a delivery ceremony held at the Fincantieri Marghera shipyards in Venice, Italy.
The handover took place in the presence of Minister Urso and prominent figures from the maritime industry, including Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, and Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri.
The Queen Anne, Cunard's 249th ship, will depart for Southampton before its maiden voyage to Lisbon on May 3. This new vessel, with a capacity for 3,000 passengers, joins the Cunard fleet, offering a luxurious experience with its design rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, style, and innovation.
Collaborations for the Queen Anne include gastronomic residencies led by chef Michel Roux, wellness packages with beauty experts from Harper's Bazaar UK, and exclusive screenings from the British Film Institute at The Pavilion.
In addition, the ship will offer a wide range of fitness, beauty and spa facilities, including the Mareel Wellness & Beauty, promising an unprecedented wellness experience at sea.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, expressed her enthusiasm for the addition of the Queen Anne to the Cunard fleet, noting that this event marks the first time since 1999 that the company will have four ships in simultaneous service. For his part, Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri, highlighted the long-standing partnership between Fincantieri and Cunard, underscoring their shared commitment to excellence and tradition in the maritime industry.
