Following a routine dry dock in Singapore, the Pacific Adventure resumed service for P&O Cruises Australia with new upgrades.
According to P&O, the 2,600-passenger vessel now offers a new sound system, as well as a new photo area and new family cabanas at the Byron Beach Club
Available for rent, the private cabins include television, fan and lights, complimentary water and snacks, a bar-fridge and on-demand service for additional amenities.
The Byron Beach Club also features a new accessible toilet on deck 16 and canopied sun loungers for shade.
At Pacific Adventure, more than 15,000 square meters of carpeting were also replaced, 3,700 square meters of new grass were added around the main pool area, and 3,000 square meters of new paint and coatings were applied.
While the public restrooms were repaired throughout the ship, the cabins on the Pacific Adventure were also renovated.
The Grand Suite, for example, received new and improved furniture and carpeting. Mirrors in all rooms were also replaced, and sofa beds were repaired.
Originally built for Princess Cruises under the name Golden Princess, the Pacific Adventure entered service in 2001.
Transferred to P&O Cruises Australia during the service pause due to the pandemic, the 2,600-passenger vessel welcomed its first guests in late October 2022.
The Pacific Adventure, which sails from Sydney year-round, offers cruises of three to fifteen nights to various destinations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands.
In addition to short cruises to Moreton Island and South Australia, the ship will offer the “Pacific Island Hopper” itinerary in April.
This nine-night cruise, which will visit New Caledonia and Vanuatu, includes visits to Noumea, Lifou and Mystery Island.
The Pacific Adventure will also visit Tasmania this month on a four-night cruise with a stop in Hobart.
