A-ROSA River Cruises has added more than 50 new excursions to its 2024 excursion program, bringing the total number of excursions offered to more than 650, across all five cruise regions.
From new city tours and visits to iconic landmarks to more exclusive experiences like lunch personally prepared by a countess on the Douro River. Plus, a new discount of up to 15% has been introduced on the tour price when three or more tours are booked in advance.
Duero
In the Douro region, five new excursions are now offered, including two new options for small groups. One such excursion is a visit to Quinta da Pacheca, near Régua, one of the region's most famous wineries, dating back to the 16th century.
La Quinta specializes in both wine and port, and guests can sample them during a special picnic with great views.
For those who want something more special, María Manuel Cyrne will receive small groups at her estate in the Douro Valley and, after a guided tour, the countess will personally prepare a Portuguese lunch for the guests to enjoy.
In addition to the extra excursions to new and existing Rhine ports, the arrival of A-ROSA ALEA and A-ROSA CLEA to the fleet in April has also increased the options.
Thanks to their shorter length, they can sail directly to the heart of ports like Trier and Strasbourg, making it easier for guests who wish to explore these destinations at their own pace.
Alternatively, there is a new group tour from Trier to the gem city of Idar-Oberstein and the chance to then enjoy seeing more than 100 historic aircraft from aviation history at a nearby museum.
The A-ROSA ALEA will dock in Strasbourg in 2024 and, during the festive season, an excursion to the Christmas Market is now offered.
A unique flight experience for two is available at the new port of Vlissingen. This trip offers a bird's-eye view of the region's hills, windmills, farmland, and much more.
One of the new options on the Danube is a trip to Gödöllö Castle, near Budapest, where guests can stroll through the halls and gardens that were the former summer residence of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and her husband, King Franz Joseph I.
Rhone
For those cruising the Rhône, a new, exclusive excursion for up to six people will explore the Ardèche region and visit a château to meet the winemakers and enjoy a tasting. There is also a new cycling tour exploring the landscapes of the Côtes du Rhône region.

On the Seine, history and nature lovers can now enjoy a new excursion to the Château de La Roche-Guyon, which stands on the banks of the Seine and boasts three hectares of gardens and excellent views.
