The Queen Mary 2 cruise ship set sail from Southampton for Cunard's " Sailing to the Antipodes " round-the-world cruise
The Queen Mary 2 sails to South Africa, the Indian Ocean, the Far East, Southeast Asia, and more. Over 108 nights, passengers will visit a total of 34 ports of call in 22 different countries.
The cruise will also offer the opportunity to visit 34 UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as overnight stays in Cape Town, Melbourne, Sydney and Hong Kong.
After leaving the UK, the Queen Mary 2 will sail to the Canary Islands before reaching southern Africa. The ship will then head into the Indian Ocean to visit Réunion and Mauritius.
After visits to Darwin, Hong Kong and other destinations, the Queen Mary 2 will arrive at additional ports of call in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, including Vietnam, Thailand and more.
In addition, the World Cruise will also include destinations in southern Europe and the Mediterranean, such as Barcelona and Piraeus, before returning to England.
Highlights of the cruise include a full transit through the Panama Canal, as well as an evening visit to San Francisco, California.
