The Costa Deliziosa set sail on January 6 with 266 Spanish passengers on board, on the 2024 edition of the Around the World Cruise from Trieste (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain) and will end on May 11 in Marghera/Venice.
Following in the footsteps of navigators of the past, guests on board will visit 52 different destinations over a little more than 4 months in 34 countries spread across 5 continents, crossing 3 oceans.
Costa was one of the first companies in the world to offer this trip, back in the 1970s, and the 2024 edition is one of the most successful in history with more than 2,000 guests on board the Costa Deliziosa, mostly from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Austria.
During the planned 134 days, the Costa Deliziosa will circumnavigate the globe, always sailing west. The itinerary will begin in Italy, visiting France, Spain, Morocco, and the Canary Islands, before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean and then passing through the Panama Canal to explore Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and Easter Island.
From there, it will cross the Pacific, touching Polynesia, to reach Australia; it will then head to Japan and South Korea, before heading west again, visiting Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Oman, Jordan and returning to Italy.
For those who were unable to book a cabin for this edition, there is still a possibility to book for the 2025 Around the World Cruise, which will circumnavigate the globe mainly through the southern hemisphere, visiting Brazil, Tierra del Fuego, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Namibia.
For the first time, the cruise will depart in early December 2024, on December 7th from Trieste, with the option to also embark in Catania, Civitavecchia/Rome, Savona, Marseille, and Barcelona, allowing passengers to enjoy the Christmas holidays on a cruise. New Year's Eve in Rio de Janeiro will feature a spectacular fireworks display from Copacabana Beach.
The Costa Deliziosa will visit Trieste, Dubrovnik, Catania, Naples, Savona, Marseille, Barcelona, Casablanca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Barbados, Cartagena, Colón, Panama Canal, Manta, Callao, Arica and Valparaíso, Easter Island, Pitcairn Islands, Papeete, Urutoa, Raiatea, Samoa, among many other destinations.
