Royal Caribbean International has revealed the headline entertainment lineup for Icon of the Seas. In January 2024, they will debut a new program of large-scale shows across the cruise line's four signature "stages" (air, ice, water, and theater) featuring live music and comedy.
From the first-ever performance of "The Wizard of Oz" at sea and a live music show to the debut of a cast of robots, skaters, and more.
Developed in-house by Royal Caribbean, a variety of productions and performances will come to life at the Icon , day and night. More than 75 artists will be in the spotlight at the new AquaDome and its AquaTheater , the Royal Theater , and the Absolute Zero ice rink .
When it comes to entertainment beyond the stage, 50 live musicians and comedians will set the tone across the Icon and more venues, including new Lou's Jazz 'n Blues and Dueling Pianos, and old favorites with a different twist, such as Schooner Bar and Point & Feather English pub.

The entertainment highlights of the Icon of the Sea include:
Feats that defy the deck at the AquaDome
- “Aqua Action!” – Combining technological and physical feats, a new breed of performers debuts in this production. Olympic-level springboard divers, skaters, aerialists, slackliners, and synchronized swimmers come together with technological advancements, such as a dual 3D flight system and robots that function as trampolines and stage builders.
- “Pirates vs. Mermaids” – A mythical world comes to life in this show that combines a lighthearted story, fairytale characters, and humor, for both adults and children. Pirates and mermaids clash to show off their greatest feats and see who truly rules the ocean.
Works worthy of an encore at the Royal Theater
- “The Wizard of Oz” – Royal Caribbean’s interpretation of this favorite across generations features characters that soar above the audience, with stage effects, more than 600 costume elements and an original score performed by a new 16-piece orchestra.
- “SHOWBAND! Live. Music. Now.” – This must-see event for music lovers features 16 musicians.
Ice -cool spins and pirouettes at Absolute Zero
- “Starburst: Elemental Beauty” – The stunning artistic interpretation of the periodic table of elements is in this exciting story about the building blocks of life.
- “Once Upon a Time: The King's Royal Ball” – This ultimate gathering of famous fairy tale superstars is specially tailor-made for youngsters and their families.
Icon beyond the stage
- Music lovers, comedy fans, and everyone in general can enjoy tunes, dancing, and laughter. From rhythm and rhyme to all-time chart-topping hits in rock, pop, Caribbean rhythms, Latin music, and more. For a fun-filled night out, head to the Comedy Club , featuring three stand-up comedians, for adults only.
- “SHIPS AHOY!” – Swordsmen and sailors of all kinds will take over the reimagined Royal Promenade with their fleets carrying hundreds of comrades from the past and present as they gather for a display of skills and a battle of wits.
