From November 4, 2023, to January 11, 2024, the Costa Serena will sail from Mumbai, offering three-, four-, and five-night itineraries. Ports of call include Kochi, Goa, and Agatti Island in Lakshadweep.

The event was attended by Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ports, Maritime Transport and Waterways of the Union; Francesco Raffa, Director of the Asian Region and Growth Markets of Costa Cruises; Nalini Gupta, of Lotus Aero Enterprises, GSA of Costa Cruises, and other senior officials.

“We are extremely pleased to be sailing again in India, where we have been operating since 2016. We are bringing our authentic Italian hospitality to our Indian guests with a local touch in terms of food and entertainment“.

“India is an important market for Costa, both for our established Fly&Cruise programs to Dubai and the Mediterranean and for our newly introduced domestic operations sailing within the country. We appreciate the Indian government’s efforts to support domestic tourism and infrastructure development. India is working to develop the cruise sector, and we are delighted to sail together towards the Indian government’s vision,” said Francesco Raffa.

Sarbananda Sonowal added: “We offer our full support to cruise lines to dock their ships in Indian ports. We are ready to support further development of our port infrastructure to accommodate large cruise ships. We are proud that, as the Port of Mumbai celebrates its 150th anniversary, Costa will once again offer domestic cruise options to Indian travelers.”
