MSC Cruises has cancelled the entire winter program of the MSC Orchestra, which was scheduled to sail in the Red Sea from November 8, 2023 to April 17, 2024, due to the proximity of some of the ship's ports of call to Israel, as well as the number of restrictions in neighboring countries that would negatively impact the experience.
Due to the current geopolitical situation and to ensure the safety of its passengers and crew, the cruise line is also making changes to other itineraries. MSC Cruises explained that local authorities have imposed travel restrictions in certain destinations, and some national governments have issued travel advisories against visiting certain areas.
The MSC Sinfonia 's winter program from November 12, 2023, to April 15, 2024, has been cancelled, as Haifa, Israel, was a key highlight of the itinerary. There are also some minor changes to the itineraries of the MSC Virtuosa , MSC Opera , and MSC Splendida's grand voyages , as well as to two 11-night itineraries on the MSC Armonia .
Passengers affected by the changes can request a change to another cruise of similar duration on an alternative ship and itinerary or request a full refund.
MSC Cruises added that the safety of its passengers and crew is a priority and that, given this changing situation, it will continue to monitor and modify ship itineraries if necessary.
