Luxury river cruise company AmaWaterways will feature a range of new combo cruises by 2025, responding to travelers' desire for longer trips.
The new “Grand” series of 14-night itineraries, including Grand Seine & Bordeaux, Grand Seine & Rhône, and Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals, includes river transfers when necessary. Combining two 7-night cruises into one convenient itinerary, these three extended voyages allow guests to immerse themselves in a European experience, offering ample time to explore diverse landscapes, historic cities, and towns along the waterways.
For those who book their cabins on these 2025 voyages before December 31, 2023, AmaWaterways is also offering Early Booking Reward discounts of up to 20% on select voyages.

- Grand Seine and Bordeaux
The 14-night Grand Seine & Bordeaux river cruise takes guests through four waterways in France, including the Seine, Garonne and Dordogne rivers, as well as the Gironde estuary.
This 14-night cruise with train transfer between Paris and Bordeaux offers the opportunity to taste the region's finest wines, visit historic castles and immerse yourself in the rich culture of the colorful countryside.
15 departures are offered, from March to October 2025.
- Grand Seine and Rhône
The 14-night Grand Seine & Rhône cruise explores the treasures of the Seine and Rhône rivers in France, combining the best of AmaWaterways Paris & Normandy aboard AmaLyra and Essence of Burgundy & Provence aboard AmaCello.
On this delightful adventure, guests will enjoy visiting world-famous monasteries, admiring the stunning Normandy coastline, exploring French castles, and immersing themselves in France's blend of history, nature, and gastronomy. Convenient train connections are included to ensure a smooth transfer from Paris to Dijon.
Guests can choose from eleven departures between March and November 2025.
- Grand Rhine and Dutch Canals
Sailing from Amsterdam to Basel aboard the AmaStella, the 14-night Grand Rhine and Dutch Canals river cruise is a delightful combination of AmaWaterways' popular Best of Holland & Belgium, Enchanting Rhine and Captivating Rhine itineraries.
This enchanting trip is perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in the fairytale castles and villages along the Rhine, as well as explore the wonders of Holland and Belgium.
Nine departure dates are offered from July to December 2025.
Other 14-night trips include the Great Danube between Vilshofen (Germany) and Giurgiu (Romania) and the Magnificent Europe between Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Budapest (Hungary).
