Winter cruises
Winter is coming to Europe, and Norwegian Cruise Line 's proposal is to escape the cold and enjoy a few days in the Caribbean aboard the new Norwegian Viva or any of the company's 12 ships that will sail the area on cruises of 3 to 15 days from 10 different departure ports, or even sail through Africa or Asia or from the Caribbean to the Panama Canal.
Enjoying a vacation on the other side of the planet with much milder temperatures, as well as discovering new destinations and letting yourself be carried away in a relaxed and informal atmosphere with excellent service, in addition to tasting international gastronomic options and enjoying spectacular entertainment on board, becomes the best way to spend the winter.
The Caribbean
The Caribbean invites you to island hop with the new Prima class of ships: the Norwegian Prima, built in 2022, and the Norwegian Viva, launched this summer. This new class is specially designed to let you enjoy the views, savor exquisite bites in the unique Indulge Food Hall at sea, or sample the diverse specialties in the eight available restaurants. This winter, these ships will visit the sunniest islands in the Caribbean and then return to the Mediterranean in the summer of 2024.
The Caribbean is one of Norwegian Cruise Line's favorite areas year-round, but especially during the winter, where, in addition to the two Prima-class ships, the company will offer cruises aboard twelve more of its ships.
Following its christening in Miami by music star Luis Fonsi, the Norwegian Viva will offer cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico, on a 7-night itinerary through the Southern Caribbean, with stops in the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts. Meanwhile, the Norwegian Prima will offer cruises through the Western Caribbean from Galveston, Texas.
This winter, the Norwegian Epic offers two 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Orlando, which can be combined into an incredible 14-day trip visiting Norwegian Cruise Line's private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, and the exclusive Harvest Caye resort in southern Belize, home to the world's second largest coral reef.
The Norwegian Sky will sail on 9- to 15-day cruises from Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, visiting Barbados, Saint Kitts, Martinique, the Netherlands Antilles or Grenada and Saint Lucia.
Asia
Another option offered by Norwegian Cruise Line for the 2023-2024 winter season is cruises through the Asian continent, exotic destinations to discover aboard the renovated Norwegian Jewel, with a wide variety of international restaurants, a modern spa and fitness area, as well as its welcoming bars and lounges to enjoy while sailing between Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo between October 2023 and April 2024 on 17 routes.
Among the various itineraries on the Norwegian Jewel is the 11-day voyage departing from Kuala Lumpur on January 27 to Bali, visiting Langkawi, Phuket, Penang or Lombok, Singapore, and Jakarta. There's also the 11-day cruise departing from Taipei on February 29 to Japan, visiting Himeji and Kyoto before traveling to Tokyo. And then there's the incredible 12-day "Trans-Acapulco: Alaska and Japan" cruise from Tokyo to Seattle.
The company offers 17 itineraries through Southeast Asia and as far as Japan on cruises lasting between 10 and 16 days, departing from 10 different ports.
Panama Canal
An incredible engineering masterpiece, 80 km long, that can be explored on Norwegian Cruise Line winter cruises from ports such as Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle or Santiago de Chile, which also include visits to various Caribbean ports.
Six ships are offering cruises ranging from 10 to 21 days from seven departure ports this winter. The Norwegian Gem will sail several 11-day cruises between December and February, also visiting Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belize from Miami. Meanwhile, the Norwegian Bliss is offering a 15-day "Panama Canal: Mexico and Colombia" itinerary from Los Angeles to Miami on various dates between November and January.
Arabian Peninsula and Africa
Norwegian Cruise Line offers a total of 7 itineraries ranging from 7 to 21 days in this area aboard the Norwegian Dawn, which can stop at small ports due to its size, including in its itineraries incredible options such as overnight stays in Dubai and Abu Dhabi or visits to lesser-known destinations such as Manama in Bahrain or the coastal city of Dammam, on its cruise “Middle East: Saudi Arabia and UAE from Dubai to Doha” with departures on December 13 and 27.
But it also offers itineraries through South Africa and Mozambique, with visits to Port Elizabeth, Durban, Cape Town, and Lüderitz, providing an opportunity to experience African culture, along with the continent's unique wildlife and incredible beaches. It also includes exotic destinations such as the volcanic island of Réunion or Madagascar, with its rainforests, beaches, and reefs, located in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
