The Port of Vigo has received a visit from representatives of three luxury cruise lines: Windstar Cruises, Aboard The World and Azamara. This trip, organized by Turespaña in Miami, will take place this week and will visit the main cruise ports of Northern Spain. The Galician leg of the tour is organized by Turismo de Galicia.
Upon their arrival at the Port, Richard Trautwein, from Windstar Cruises; Katherine Edith Aranibar, from Aboard The World; and Andrea Baigorria, from Azamara; accompanied by representatives of Turismo de Galicia and Turespaña; were received by the top port official, Carlos Botana, and part of his management team.
During their stay in Vigo, the delegation visited the Vigo Cruise Terminal and Atlantic Vigo Cruise Terminal, where they were received by their managers, Sabela Vázquez and Javier Castro, respectively.
The visit was completed with a boat trip along the Vigo Estuary, where they were able to appreciate the seabed, observe mussel farming live and locate sunken ships at more than 13 m.
All three shipping companies cater to high-net-worth clients and are known for their personalized service. All three have called at Vigo at some point and made stops there during 2023.
Their stop in Galician ports will conclude tomorrow, Wednesday, after which they will head to other locations in Northern Spain, with the aim of exploring destination options for the terminals along their route. The main interest of these shipping companies is to offer different and exclusive alternatives to their passengers, as well as to call at smaller ports.
