Specifically, the ships bring a passenger count of 15,185 cruise passengers and 5,249 crew members, who will remain in the city and its surroundings throughout the day.

The MSC Virtuosa, with 4,838 passengers and 1,707 crew members, has the largest number of passengers. The other four—the MSC Orchestra, Mein Schiff 2 New, Aidastella, and Nieuw Statendamk— have over 2,000 passengers each, while their crew numbers are under 1,000.

It is important to remember the significant economic impact that cruise ships have on the environment and that, according to the latest study carried out by the Junta de Andalucía on cruise tourism in the region, the average expenditure per cruise passenger per day in port of call is 40.6 euros, so the annual impact would amount to 19 million euros, not counting the expenditure made by the crew.
