Costa Cruises has created “Morocco and Tunisia: A Journey for the Senses”, the second cruise of 2023 with exclusive experiences dedicated to members of C|Club, the loyalty program of the Italian cruise company.
A cruise designed for members to enjoy a true journey through the colors, flavors and smells of great destinations, such as Morocco, Tunisia, Italy, France and Spain, for two weeks.
The departure from Italy will be on September 23, 2023, from Savona, aboard the Costa Favolosa, then heading towards Civitavecchia/Rome, Palermo, Tunis (Tunisia), Cartagena (Spain), Tangier (Morocco), Casablanca (Morocco) with a stop of a day and a half to allow guests to experience excursions to Marrakech, Cadiz (Spain), Malaga (Spain), Barcelona (Spain), Marseille (France), and return to Savona on October 7.
For this second cruise-event, a program has been designed exclusively for C|Club members, which includes excellent gastronomic experiences, themed parties, unique shows, and excursions organized especially for the cruise.
Tony Hadley will be the very special guest at this event. The former Spandau Ballet frontman will perform on board for C|Club members, offering a trip back to the 80s with his biggest hits and new singles.
Six-Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze, who along with Bruno Barbieri and Ángel
León is responsible for the gastronomic excellence of Costa Cruises, will be on board to offer Destination Dishes that will convey the destinations visited through flavor.
In addition, she will be the star of a culinary experience alongside the members of the C|Club, who under her guidance will be able to try to create typical Moroccan and Tunisian dishes through easy recipes with local ingredients.
Continuing with the theme of flavor, C|Club members will find another excellent chef during the cruise: Riccardo Bellaera, Costa's Corporate Pastry and Bakery Chef, a close collaborator of the international Master of Pastry, Iginio Massari. Riccardo Bellaera will delight C|Club members with his creations, specially designed to celebrate the itinerary's destinations, and will even involve them in cooking and pastry demonstrations.
To immerse yourself in the local culture, don't miss the Destination Moments, a series of events and lectures on the history and use of the spices that make Morocco and Tunisia so distinctive.
In addition to the Welcome Party, fun recreational and artistic activities, including painting lessons and traditional local decoration, the crew of the Costa Favolosa will offer guests a Birthday Party dedicated to Costa's 75th birthday.
The entertainment program also includes themed parties: the “Desert Night”, a sensory journey through the smells, tastes and traditions of Morocco and Tunisia, with amazing experiences such as the tea ceremony and ritual henna drawings, and the “Mediterranean Party”, to celebrate the traditions and street food of the Mediterranean.
Among the special guests on board will be South African singer Talia Alexis, who will offer an international music show and a tribute to Tina Turner.
Finally, they will also enjoy new excursions specially designed for this cruise, featuring local culinary experiences, moments of pure relaxation, and unexpected sights and attractions. For example, it will be possible to unwind with steam baths in the "Arab" part of Cádiz; enjoy the views of Casablanca; experience fine dining in Tunis; and admire the vibrant colors of Rabat and Fez.
