Costa Cruises introduces next-generation Wi-Fi connectivity on its flagship Costa Toscana with Starlink from SpaceX, a leader in low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology.
The new service is now operational, offering the best Wi-Fi experience available to guests of the Costa Toscana, as they explore some of the most exciting destinations in the Western Mediterranean on week-long cruises.
Following the Costa Toscana, SpaceX's innovative Starlink broadband service will be gradually rolled out to the rest of the Costa fleet, starting with the Costa Smeralda, the Costa Toscana's sister ship. Installation on all ships in the Costa fleet is scheduled to be completed by December 2023.

Starlink will offer the opportunity for a fast internet connection, global coverage to stay connected even in remote areas, and an enhanced web browsing experience on board, sharing the experience in real time. The benefits aren't just for guests.
The new service will improve communication between ships and shore-based offices, streamlining various aspects of ship operations and ensuring a smoother, more efficient cruise experience. Crew members' private internet access will also be significantly enhanced, allowing them to connect more reliably and quickly with loved ones back home or access their social media.
On the Costa Toscana, and soon on other Costa ships, guests will have the opportunity to purchase "Pay Per Minute", "Whatsapp", "Social" and "Complete" packages, which include the Starlink connection.
