Norwegian Cruise Line has held its fourth annual Giving Joy contest, which pays tribute to teachers across North America for their hard work and dedication, and in which 20 people were awarded.
Each of the 20 winners has won a free seven-day cruise for two, valid for itineraries sailing through 2024 and departing from the U.S. and Canada. In addition, the three grand prize winners are invited to attend the exclusive four-day maiden voyage of the cruise line's next ship, the Norwegian Viva, which will debut in August 2023.
During the christening ceremony in Miami on November 28, 2023, the winners will also have the opportunity to enjoy performances by the artist and godfather of the Norwegian Viva, Luis Fonsi, along with other exclusive performances such as that of the Queen of Latin Pop, Paulina Rubio.

Coca-Cola, Norwegian's beverage partner, has donated round-trip airfare from the continental United States for each contest winner and a guest. In addition, the 20 winning educators will receive a free virtual training session provided by the Guy Harvey Foundation.
The grand prize winners are Ryan Price, from Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy in Vacaville, California; Carolyn Reardon, from James Otis Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois; and Angelo Mirante, from Lakewood High School in Arlington, Washington.
Since the program's inception in 2019, Norwegian's Giving Joy contest has awarded more than 250 educators with a free cruise and donated more than $350,000 to local schools and teachers with the support of its partner brands.
