Silversea received the most environmentally friendly ultra-luxury cruise ship ever built, the Silver Nova, in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
Royal Caribbean Group Chairman and CEO Jason Liberty joined Silversea President Barbara Muckermann, Meyer Werft executives, and other esteemed guests to officially welcome the pioneering ship as the 12th in the Silversea fleet.
In addition to marking a significant milestone in the Royal Caribbean Group's journey towards Net Zero Destination, Silver Nova and future Nova-class ships are poised to introduce an unprecedented openness to the world for guests and a whole new vision of luxury at sea.
The inaugural voyage will begin on August 14, sailing round trip from Venice for seven days, visiting Piran, Slovenia; Zadar and Dubrovnik, Croatia; Kotor, Montenegro; Split and Rovinj, Croatia; and Venice, Italy. Its Mediterranean season will then commence.
