Regent Seven Seas Cruises has named Sarah Fabergé, a founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé , as the godmother of the Seven Seas Grandeur ship .
Sarah will christen the ship at an elegant gala to be held in Miami (Florida) on December 10, 2023, which will also feature a performance by actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, winner of Emmy and Tony awards.
The Seven Seas Grandeur will then embark on a three-night maiden cruise through the Caribbean, before returning to Miami for its inaugural Caribbean season.

Sarah is the great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé, the legendary jewelry artist and creative and entrepreneurial genius behind the world-renowned company, and is a member of the Fabergé Heritage Council, which helps support the Fabergé management team in their pursuit of excellence and provides guidance on Peter Carl Fabergé and his legacy.
As part of Regent's collaboration with Fabergé, Sarah will wear earrings and a ring designed specifically for the upcoming christening. They will not only adorn Sarah as a set during this elegant event, but will also be auctioned to raise funds for charity in 2024, the company said.
The proceeds from this auction will be donated to the Gemfields Foundation, the charitable arm of Gemfields, Fabergé's parent company. The foundation is dedicated to undertaking various activities designed to address poverty alleviation in communities and wildlife conservation in sub-Saharan Africa. In particular, the foundation's high-impact projects encompass the countries Regent is visiting, such as Madagascar and Mozambique.
Sarah's appointment as godmother of the Seven Seas Grandeur coincides with Regent Seven Seas Cruises' partnership with Fabergé. As part of this collaboration, Regent previously commissioned a unique, meticulously handcrafted work of art known as Journey in Jewels. The Fabergé egg will have the distinction of being the first permanent resident of its kind at sea and will be the crown jewel of the ship's multimillion-dollar art collection.
In addition, Sarah will host a Fabergé Spotlight Voyage aboard the Seven Seas Grandeur, departing on July 1, 2024. This voyage will immerse luxury travelers in the world of Fabergé with small-group masterclasses, exclusive access to unique and intimate shore excursions, jeweled egg demonstrations, lectures, and screenings. The 10-night cruise will depart from Rome (Civitavecchia) and sail the Mediterranean, stopping in Salerno (Italy), Taormina (Sicily) (Italy), Valletta (Malta), Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona (Spain), Provence (Marseille), and Antibes (France) before concluding in Monte Carlo.
