TUI Cruises presents the eighth ship in its fleet, powered by LNG and the first of a new class of vessels, currently under construction in Monfalcone, Italy, at the Fincantieri shipyard. The first of two new ships being built at this shipyard will take the Mein Schiff experience to a new level: Experience well-being in a whole new way.
The ship will offer an even more diverse culinary journey, new wellness oases for relaxation, spa and wellness, and high-level entertainment on a cruise scheduled to enter service by the end of 2024.
In addition to new features, TUI Cruises will continue to offer what its guests value most, so the inclusive Mein Schiff Premium services will be available on this new ship, making holidays even more carefree and the costs of one-off trips more predictable.
“We are delighted that, together with Fincantieri and all the architects, designers and our very dedicated employees involved, we have developed the Mein Schiff concept on each of the decks: Experience wellness in a new way,” says Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises.
TUI Cruises aims to offer the first climate-neutral cruises by 2030. The cruise line already boasts a modern and environmentally friendly fleet. The company is also focusing on environmental and climate protection with its new class of ship. “Investing in LPG-powered ships is an important step on the path to zero-emission, climate-neutral cruises. LNG serves as a bridge technology here. In the future, we will use bio-LNG or e-LNG, which is generated from biogenic sources or synthetically from renewable energy,” explains Wybcke Meier.
The new ship will sail its inaugural season in 2024-25 in Europe.
