The MSC Group has announced that it will consolidate the sales functions and other resources of the Explora Journeys and MSC Cruises brands into a single structure, in order to provide greater support to its business partners in Spain.

Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director in Spain, will now assume all responsibilities for Explora Journeys in this market. This will create greater synergies that will benefit travel agencies.
Existing agreements with business partners will remain unchanged. Likewise, the two brands will continue to have different commercial terms, and no modifications are anticipated in the future.
Pierfrancesco Vago, CEO of MSC Group's Cruises division, stated: “With this decision, MSC Group is once again demonstrating its commitment to expanding and developing relationships with the travel agent community, which has contributed so much to our growth to date and continues to do so through its support of both our brands. The new, simplified structure will facilitate access for our business partners, particularly travel agencies, with resulting benefits for all parties. It is also important to note that travel agents will benefit from the ongoing investments we are making in both brands, which will offer our partners further growth opportunities.”
In Spain, Explora Journeys will continue to have its own specialized sales, marketing, contact center, and public relations team. In addition, each market will have its own brand-specific resources to ensure the smooth operation of this new approach.
This structure will also be adopted in Italy, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, China, and Japan.
Explora Journeys' first ship, EXPLORA I, will set sail on July 17 from Southampton (United Kingdom) for its inaugural voyage, which consists of a 15-night cruise through the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle to Copenhagen (Denmark).
