Explora Journeys' Destination Experiences will be offered during EXPLORA I 's inaugural Caribbean season , which runs from November 2023 to March 2024. In addition, EXPLORA I's next Mediterranean and Northern European cruises will take place from May to September 2024
Destination Experiences aim to give discerning travelers the opportunity to discover the nature, local cultures and culinary delights of each destination from a new perspective, designed for small groups of 2 to 25 people.
At the same time, the experiences adhere to the strictest standards of sustainability and responsibility. Their purpose is to ensure minimal impact on the natural environment.
Among the Destination Experiences are the following:
- Nature lovers can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Virgin Gorda Island, the third largest in the British Virgin Islands archipelago.
- On the island of Curacao, guests have the opportunity to embark on a submarine to explore the fascinating world hidden 200 meters below the sea.
- In Samaná (Dominican Republic) an ecological adventure awaits you to explore the caves and mangroves of Los Haitises National Park.
- Upon arriving on the island of Guadeloupe in the French Antilles, guests can dive into the Jacques Cousteau Underwater Reserve. This marine sanctuary, named after the legendary oceanographer, is home to an incredible variety of aquatic life.
New European trips
EXPLORA I's 2024 summer season will begin on May 18, 2024, with a transatlantic voyage from Miami to Lisbon. This exclusive cruise season will offer a balanced mix of renowned destinations and less-visited ports. The season includes eight Mediterranean cruises and four Northern European cruises. Highlights include Saint-Tropez (France), Kuşadasi (Turkey), Santorini (Greece), Paphos (Cyprus), as well as Svalbard and Honningsvåg (Norway).
Each cruise has its own character, reflecting the distinctive spirit of each destination, and has been designed with an emphasis on offering a slower pace of travel, as well as the opportunity to spend more time at the destinations.

After sailing through the waters of the Mediterranean and discovering the cultural gems along the way, guests will embark on "A journey to the remote lands of far northern Europe" from August 25 to September 10.
Guests will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the landscapes, cultural heritage, and gastronomic delights of the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

Due to the overwhelming success of Explora Journeys' Caribbean cruises, the brand has decided to extend the 2024-2025 Caribbean season. Therefore, EXPLORA I will remain in the Caribbean from October 2024 to April 2025.
EXPLORA I, the first ship in Explora Journeys' fleet of up to six luxury cruise ships, will set sail from Southampton (UK) on July 17, 2023 for its inaugural 15-night voyage through the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle, ending in Copenhagen (Denmark).
