Chef Alexix Quaretti, Senior Culinary Director of Oceania Cruises, has been inducted into the prestigious Maîtres Cuisiniers de France ranking. Quaretti joins Oceania Cruises' Vice President of Culinary, Eric Barale, who mentored Quaretti on the program. This makes Oceania Cruises the only major cruise line with two Master Chefs of France.
The Master Chefs of France association was founded in 1951. Its aim is to support and promote French culinary arts worldwide. This mission is embodied by its member chefs, who are ambassadors of French cuisine and culture and are responsible for passing on this heritage to their apprentices.
