- Hiroshima, a symbolic stop. The city that was devastated in World War II, marking the end of the war. The Peace Monument, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Peace Memorial Park are symbols of the city's commitment to peace.
- Hakodate is a 19th-century Japanese port city, home to one of the country's first three ports opened to international trade in 1859. Hakodate stands out from other places, with its wooden houses in the historic center nestled against the great mountain and the tourist area by the port offering Japanese seafood cuisine.
- In the Inland Sea region lies Kobe, another important port city and a premier tourist destination. A truly multicultural city, it exudes an attractive diversity and offers restaurants serving all kinds of cuisine; however, one cannot leave the city without trying authentic Kobe beef.
- Finally, among the great stops in Japan: Shimizu, the privileged city that is home to Mount Fuji, another of nature's works that is essential to see in the land of Nippon.
