Swan Hellenic has partnered with JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs to create Maris, a unique experience of exceptional dining and discovery through the senses, experienced with the gourmet organization's world-renowned chefs.

Maris brings different JRE leaders on board a series of exclusive cultural expedition cruises aboard Swan Hellenic's elegant designer ships SH Vega and SH Diana.
Each evening, the Maris's chef will serve a different signature dish, and the ship also hosts a culinary show that reveals select secrets of its art and leads gastronomic excursions ashore to explore local culinary traditions and specialties. In this way, Maris intertwines the insights gained from specialized onboard lectures with shore excursions where guests explore and savor local traditions and cultures related to hunting and fishing, farming, foraging, and cooking in the company of world-renowned chefs, benefiting from their expert perspective.
And, of course, all the chefs at Maris also mingle and socialize with guests throughout their journey, following the tradition of Swan Hellenic cultural expedition cruises.
It is this extraordinary combination that makes Maris a new and irresistible experience in high-end cruise dining. The star chefs from JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs lined up for the first series of departures from Maris include, in order of departure, Sabina Repovž from Slovenia (along with her husband Grega, awarded Best Sommelier of Slovenia 2021 by Gault & Millau – SH Diana), Edwin Soumang from the Netherlands (Michelin Star – SH Diana), Michael Ammon from Germany (also Michelin Star – SH Diana), Andreas Hillejan from Germany (again Michelin Star – SH Vega), Manfred Kofler from Italy (SH Vega), Manu Núñez from Spain (SH Vega), Arjan Kuipers from the Netherlands (SH Vega), Tomaž Bratovž from Slovenia (whose restaurant is the first from his country to be included in The World's 50 Best Restaurants – SH Vega), Carles Ramon from Spain (SH Vega), Daniel Lehmann from Switzerland (SH Diana), Clément Bidard from France (9 years with a Michelin Star – SH Diana), Borja Marrero from Spain (Michelin Green Star in 2023 – SH Diana) and Luca Marchini from Italy (also with a Michelin star – SH Diana).
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Swan Hellenic,” declared Daniel Lehmann, President of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs. “This is a unique opportunity for us to bring our international culinary expertise to discerning connoisseurs on exceptional journeys around the world.”.
Swan Hellenic CEO Andrea Zito commented: “Swan Hellenic and JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs are united by an unwavering commitment to sharing exceptional experiences. We are confident that Maris will exceed all expectations and we can't wait to hear our guests' reactions.”.
But the official launch of the SH Diana will be celebrated with a sumptuous Gala Dinner aboard the SH Diana as part of its christening ceremony in Amsterdam on Thursday, May 4. Three chefs from JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs will showcase the extraordinary creative range of Maris gastronomy to mark the occasion: Edwin Soumang (Restaurant One, Netherlands), Daniel Canzian (Ristorante Daniel Canzian, Italy), and Michael Ammon (Gasthof Jakob, Germany).
