400 new travel agents from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) will participate in a 4-night immersive experience on the Symphony of the Seas next May.
Royal Caribbean International has prepared a grand stage for its Seminar at Sea, the first program for travel agents in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The event, exclusively for professionals starting out in the cruise industry or who have never worked with the brand, will offer 400 agents the experience of boarding Symphony of the Seas for four nights and enjoying a Royal Caribbean vacation firsthand.
From May 7-11, agents will discover the cruise line's vast array of unparalleled adventures and fan-favorite entertainment for all ages, whether it's taking on glow-in-the-dark laser tag, plunging down the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story dry slide, or catching waves on the FlowRider surf simulator.
The agents will participate in training sessions in six languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Swedish, and English) to learn everything Royal Caribbean has to offer. The sessions will be interactive, with activities ranging from role-playing games to quizzes ,and will allow the agents to experience firsthand the real-life journey of travelers on an iconic Royal Caribbean cruise.
In the evening, agents will be able to enjoy world-class onboard entertainment, including Symphony and original productions on stage, ice, water, and in the air. Prior to the event, the cruise line will also randomly select one agent to experience the luxury of the Royal Suite Class, one of Royal Caribbean's renowned suites.
Ben Bouldin, Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Royal Caribbean International, said: “It has been fantastic to see so many new faces joining the travel industry over the past year, and we want to give agents the opportunity to immerse themselves in the memorable vacations we are known for at Royal Caribbean.
First-hand experience is an incredible sales tool and, together with the in-depth training they will receive on board with Seminar at Sea, they will be set up for success in designing the best family experiences for their customers.”.
Stuart Byron, Sales Director for the UK, Ireland, and Spain at Royal Caribbean International, said: “One of the best ways we can support our travel partners in selling Royal Caribbean cruises is to give them a taste of the experience. This seminar at sea is an incredible opportunity to educate and build relationships like never before, with a healthy dose of excitement and enjoyment.”.
The event coincides with the start of the European season, featuring seven innovative ships sailing across the continent this summer. Seminar at Sea is just one of the initiatives the cruise line has launched to provide agents with maximum support.
